Overall Job Purpose / Role Purpose:

The Role

An exciting position has been created for a Data Intelligence Analyst to join the Data function here at ATG. The successful Analyst will be joining an expanding team who are working on a new initiative to create a bridge between the Data Engineering team and the Reporting function, with opportunity to provide input and ideas to help shape the direction of the day to day processes and efficiency within the business.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Analyst with a passion for problem-solving, data governance and data management to work within our growing Data team. You will be responsible for a variety of work streams including generating summary tables, tagging plans and assisting with the onward development roadmap for ATG’s Data Layer product. To succeed in this role, you need to have an analytical mindset, a true understanding of complex datasets and good attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring insights are comprehensible for both non-technical and technical stakeholders
  • Conducting data analysis to provide insightful and actionable information to relevant stakeholders
  • Highlighting any data issues or findings and offering solutions
  • Compiling and analysing data sources to identify trends and patterns
  • Make complicated datasets simple and easy-to-read and understand
  • Scoping out BI requirements and areas of the business that may benefit from data analysis.
  • Gathering end user reporting requirements, typically from the Business Intelligence or CRO teams
  • Working with the Data Scientist to devise Machine Learning opportunities
  • Maintaining technical documentation on the architecture of Snowplow tagging, data governance processes and database systems
  • Architecting front-end and back-end user interaction tagging plans
  • Research and development into any new Tableau product features
  • Understanding and proposing summary table requirements to the Data Engineering team
  • Developing BI analytics dashboards and reports combining multiple different data sources
  • Auditing the quality of recorded data across the business to help support various data teams
  • Peer reviewing other Data Analyst outputs to ensure data accuracy
  • Conducting Research and Development exercises of any new data features that will benefit the wider business
