Job Description Summary
Here at Lloyds Banking Group we're recruiting a Data & Insight - Customer Channels role.
Job Description
At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper and to become the best bank for our customers. What we do makes a genuine difference to families, businesses and communities, and we're playing a central role in building a growing UK economy.
This is a phenomenal opportunity to join the Customer Channels Risk Team, as a risk partner focussing on producing insights from the risk data to support decision making and problem solving. You'll work to support the development of risk and control indicators and producing data led insights to help manage risk across Customer Channels.
In this role you’ll:
  • Work with the team and business risk partners to develop risk insights, setting up regular insight reporting, including supporting information needed for senior leaders, supporting end to end risk management. Developing risk and control indicators to improve how we proactively manage risks.
  • Work with control owners to help develop data points to run alongside control automation, allowing for easy evidence of control efficiency, minimising the need for manual assurance activity.
  • Set up self-serve models to allow others across the team to develop their data insight capabilities.
  • Make use of sophisticated data analytics tools, such as cluster analysis to find common issues or themes and define the root cause of similar problems.
  • Develop risk insights to support governance fora and continuous risk management, working with the business risk partners across customer channels.
What do we need from you?
Essential:
Problem solving – Can think ‘up and out’ to find solutions, thinking wide to identify unintended consequences of an action
Critical thinking – ability to set a clear purpose and align outcomes to meet that purpose
Leadership – Has a growth mindset and the confidence to try new things and instils this in others, failing fast and learning quick to continually make the business and themselves better. Strength of leadership to allow fails to occur and helping colleagues to build and maintain their confidence to try again.
Analytical – Able to use data to make strategic or difficult decisions, understanding the data and what it's telling you - can find the insight and the compelling ‘so what’ story. Deep understanding of the more sophisticated data analytics tools and can use them to provide insights to the business.
Communication and influencing – able to tell simple stories, using insights and data, communicating across a diverse range of customers. Able to build relationships and get the best out of people.
We need you to be able to work collaboratively, to challenge thinking with data and insights, sometimes being the only one in the room with a different view. In return, you’ll get to work in a team where you’ll be able to grow your leadership skills, develop a subject matter knowledge in key areas of the Group and be continually challenged to help you meet your career goals. Plus we’ll have a lot of fun as we do this too.
Location for this role is flexible (We’re a multi-location team, and we collaborate using technology) You'll have the option to travel to our key hubs to meet the teams and spend time understanding the business, which is highly recommended, but otherwise travel is minimal and aligned to the Group principles.
You'll follow our team's hybrid working pattern, of home working and office based working. We're happy to consider agile working requests.
So what can we offer you in return?
You'll receive a package that includes:
  • Discretionary performance share award
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Generous pension contribution
  • 30 days leave plus bank holidays
  • Flexible benefits.
We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit.
So if you’d like to be part of our inclusive values-based culture, and want to be stretched and fulfilled, we’ll help you build a career that will make a difference to you and our customers.
Together we make it possible!
At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.
We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we’re building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
