Responsibilities
- As a Market Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing market data systems to support the firm's trading and investment operations.
- You will work closely with traders, quant researchers and technology teams to ensure that market data is accurate, reliable, and accessible in real-time.
As a Market Data Engineer you should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas/skill sets:
- Market Data infrastructures delivering Real-Time Market Data to customers.
- Real-Time and Snapshot Market Data Publishing and Contributions technologies.
- Hands-on, advanced management of distribution technologies leveraging various file transfer services.
- Utilising programming languages such as PowerShell and Python and the management of a market data tick capture service.
- Real-time data capture and data quality assurance, utilising tick capture technologies, data warehousing and data monitoring/analytics skills/toolsets.
Other Advantageous Skills:
- Strong Excel skills (including formulas and pivot tables)
- Good understanding/knowledge of FIX, UPA/ETA protocols.
- The ability to create and share complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences to tight deadlines.
