Job description
Responsible for creating and maintaining business intelligence infrastructure, tools and reports. Lead the transformation of data into actionable, visual reports to support commercial and operational business decisions to drive change and improvements.
- Lead, design and implement Power BI solutions
- Provide insightful and data driven solutions for the business
- Develop and maintain visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI
- Set business requirements for BI tools
- Understand and connect data sources and present data in an easy to read format to stakeholders
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends in complex data sets
- Create insights that influence meaningful business decisions
- Troubleshoot issues with data integrity and report these findings across all areas of the business.
- Integrate Power BI reports into other applications
- Applying advanced level calculations on the data set
- Train users and stakeholders on how to use the information
- Implement security across the reports
- Responsible for design methodology and delivery documentation
- Standardise data into coherent formats
Applicant requirements
- Experience as a Power BI developer, SQL
- Experience gained from a manufacturing background, ideally FMCG
- Experience with data sources such as SQL/SharePoint/Excel
- Understanding of SQL Data Warehousing
- Experience of creating and maintaining data models that support data analysis and reporting
- The ability to build strong relationships and to engage, negotiate, influence and collaborate across the organisation.
- Ability to explain data and technical concepts to non-technical teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent understanding of the data life cycle, including ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
- Strong data manipulation ability
- Demonstrate creativity in identifying and solving problems, and in presenting data and insights in a compelling and innovative way
- Knowledge of Python (desirable)
