Job description

Orbis Operations seeks exceptionally qualified Data Engineers to support USSOCOM. Employees must maintain global readiness and be available to deploy on a no-notice basis to hazardous duty/combat zones. Deployments may be to a theater of operations with permissive, uncertain, or hostile environments while living in austere conditions for extended periods.

Key Skills, Knowlege, and Expertise

Education and Experience

·A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required for this position.

·A certificate from Codecademy or another related platform is preferred but not required.

·Minimum of 2 years’ professional work experience in a related field is required for this position.

·Master’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required for this position.

Required Skills/Abilities

·U.S. Citizenship

·Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

·Demonstrated experience writing and using multiple coding languages such as Python, Java, C++, etc.

·Experience designing, building, and managing data infrastructure and systems

·Experience troubleshooting and fixing software

·Experience writing software and/or scripts

·Experience utilizing Could platforms

·Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand stakeholder requirements, and translate requirements into practical data solutions
