As a Data Engineer joining our Advanced Analytics practice, you'll be supporting a team at one of Washington's top public universities to provide a software selection and design recommendation that meets their enterprise needs for state-of-the-art ELT software. Your work will help centralize and eliminate siloes, enable analytics, and modernize infrastructure. In addition, you’ll work closely with the client to understand both their business processes and analytics needs to design and build data pipelines and cloud data solutions. You will have the opportunity to guide your client through best practices in data lake, data processing, and data pipeline design to help them achieve their business goals.

Must have:
- 5+ years of BI and/or data engineering experience
- Expert-level knowledge and experience with Azure or other cloud technologies
- Strong experience coding with Python
- Experience designing and developing cloud ELT and data pipelines
- Deep experience designing and building performant ELT jobs to move and transform data from various source types and performing exploratory data analysis, data cleansing, and aggregation
- Experience with developing and operating CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps fundamentals
- Experience developing client-facing, core design documents: data flows, source to target, requirements, data lineage, and data dictionary
- Demonstrated ability to identify business and technical impacts of user requirements and incorporate them into the project schedule
Preferred:
- Experience with any of the following cloud data warehouse technology: Snowflake, Azure Databricks
- Excellent foundation of consulting skills: analytical, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills

Compensation range: $130,000 - $170,000 annually
