Join us as a Senior Developer and you will play a key role by using both your technical and management skills to lead a team in designing and creating solutions exclusively for LCC in our new Microsoft Azure Platform.
The role
Reporting to the Data Services Manager you will lead and manage a team of developers in the design and production of solutions for the consistent and effective management of corporate data and reporting. You will support and maintain the Data Services Azure environment (databases and services) including support of the LCC data warehouse, MDM, associated ETL processes, views and staged data.
Key duties include:
- Planning development work effectively to deliver within timescales implementing an Agile approach;
- Taking personal responsibility for actively contributing and leading the Departmental Dev Ops process, managing and taking part in the corresponding workshops for Scoping, Requirements definitions, User Stories, Task creation and Estimation;
- Using Microsoft technologies to develop and implement solutions ensuring business need is met, development is efficient and any requirement for on-going maintenance is minimal.
What we are looking for
This is a key role which requires a creative individual with a range of technical knowledge, experience and soft skills, including:
- Demonstrable experience of data architecture design and development;
- Understanding of data warehousing principles;
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of specialist software, including Azure, SQL Server, MS Visual Studio and Azure Dev Ops;
- Proven management of a team of Developers;
- Excellent communication skills; and
- The ability to solve problems effectively.
