Job description
about graze and the world we are part of
At graze, our mission is to rewrite the snacking rulebook. We stand against the snack-stablishment and how unsatisfied it can make snackers feel. We want people to enjoy snacking again by eating delicious treats without worrying about eating too much sugar or salt. That’s why we’re always on the hunt for tastier, crunchier, fresher and better snacks that are good for you (and for the planet).
But how are we doing this? Well, we’ve already reduced the sugar in our snacks by 60% and we’re working towards becoming more transparent with our labelling (and encouraging other snack makers to do the same). We’re here to make healthy, exciting and snacking a joy.
So, it should come as no surprise that we’re also a certified B Corp and a proud advocate for the Better Business Act. We’ve committed to being a better business by putting equal measure behind how our business operates for people, planet and profit.
Now that’s a graze idea.

data at graze
Being ‘fuelled by data’ is one of graze’s core values. It’s at the heart of what we do and an integral part of how we make decisions.
Graze relies on the data team to land & process data, develop reports and deliver insights across a broad range of data sources. We aim to write readable and repeatable code, produce concise and impactful reporting and automate as much as possible.
We’re looking for someone curious and commercially minded to challenge and transform our existing processes and drive forward our data capabilities.
the stack
Some bits of our data stack have been around since graze was started over 10 years ago and we’re rebuilding a lot of our core pipelines and reports. Our current stack is based in AWS and includes a redshift data warehouse, orchestrated by an internal web app written in PHP. This web app is business facing and is not only how we run ELT but also how business users upload & download data, build marketing campaigns and build forecasts.
We’ve embarked on an exciting journey to redesign out data stack and take advantage of some new and powerful tools. Our new data pipelines are built in dbt and orchestrated with airflow, ultimately landing our data in bigQuery and reporting in Tableau.
