Senior Data Engineer

£50,000-£60,000

Reports to: Senior Manager, Data Engineering & Data Products

Department: Chief Operating Office

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

We're open to a variety of ways of working, including full time, part time, job share and compressed hours.

Location: Stratford, London. Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

We’re searching for a Senior Data Engineer to play an influential role in our ambitious approach to data. We’re committed to improving our supporter engagement and experience to help increase awareness and opportunities to raise income for Cancer Research UK’s vital research. Our use of data is an integral investment and priority for three of our five strategic pillars (to find out more, read Discover, Translate, and Sustain chapters of ).

Ensuring our data is a key asset for the organisation is a critical part of this challenge. We aim to improve the charity’s existing data products, whilst defining our engineering data and insights strategy. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be a part of this journey by delivering and driving tangible outcomes within our Data Portfolio. This will entail creating and maintaining data integrations; supporting data change, work requests, and incident management; and contributing to the Team’s continuous improvement and learning & development to build Cancer Research UK’s Data resilience.

If you are a Data Engineer with extensive Python experience who has operated within a modern, AWS, cloud-based environment, we want you to join our mission.
