Reporting to the Finance Data Engineering Manager the Data Engineer will play a vital role transforming data into valuable insights that drive informed business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our data infrastructure and drive the development of robust data solutions that power our business operations.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data systems and pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, implement data integration processes, and ensure data quality and reliability. Your expertise in data engineering will play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making and enabling efficient data analytics.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience of BI and ETL toolsets (SQL, Data Stage, SAS, Cognos BI)
- Good controls mind-set
- Good communication / interpersonal skills
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Knowledge of SAS or Data Stage (Infosphere) product suites
- Awareness of the Aegon project lifecycle, documentation and methodologies
- Knowledge of data warehouse design, development and delivery
It’d also be great, but not essential, if you’ve got:
- Experience of working within Financial Services environment

- A competitive salary from £29000.00 - £43,500.00, depending on the experience you can bring.
