When big news breaks, everyone expects the BBC to be in the thick of the action. That means getting the right people in the right place, often at a moment’s notice. BBC News has an exciting opportunity for a data apprentice to join the team that make the impossible possible!
We’re looking for someone with a passion for data to help our operations become more sustainable. You’ll be working with our Connectivity and Innovation team and Outside Broadcast crews to gather and analyse the data that helps us work better. We’ll teach you how we use data and help you to develop the skills you’ll needed to prepare valuable data insights. We’ll also show you how to visualise data and teach you the art of presenting it. Plus, as a fully funded apprentice, you’ll be earning and learning on the job while studying for a Level 3 Data Driven Professional qualification with our learning provider Cambridge Spark.

We’re looking for someone with an interest in data who doesn’t have a data qualification already. You’ll be full of ideas with great communication skills to join our Connectivity and Innovations Team. We’re not expecting you to run before you can walk, that’s why it’s an apprenticeship! But with support from us and our learning provider Cambridge Spark, we’ll help you to fulfil your potential if you can show us you’re good at the following:

- Communication
You’ll also need the following:
- Maths & English GCSEs or Scottish Standards at 9-4 or A-C equivalent
- The legal right to work in the UK
- Resident in the UK for at least 3 years before the apprenticeship starts

Package Description- A starting salary of £19,500 (+ £4,918 London weighting) in year one, and potential yearly pay increases
