Job title: Customer Service Assistant
Reporting to: Head of Customer Services
Department: Customer Services
Location: Home-based
Hours: 40 hours - expected shifts may be Monday – Sunday Between 8am and 5pm.
Pay: £10.50 per hour

General Summary of role
ProDog Raw are looking for a hardworking, polite, and confident customer service assistant to join our growing team.
A ProDog customer service assistant will play a key role in ensuring that our customers are satisfied and happy. They will be the first point of contact for customers and will be responsible for providing an excellent first impression.
As a team, we are extremely passionate about providing our customers with a first-class experience and actively encourage staff feedback on possible areas for improvement. Therefore, an empathetic approach and a passion for helping people is essential.
Full training will be provided.
Essential functions and duties
- Using a variety of communication channels to answer customer queries, in a timely manner. This will include but not be limited to the telephone, live chat, and email.
- Identifying customer issues and trends, troubleshooting these, and escalating as appropriate.
- Dealing with customer complaints in a calm and patient manner
- Utilising a range of in-house and external systems, to create and amend customer orders.
- Proactively manage customer accounts, identifying any issues or areas for improvement
- Actively sell to customers via the telephone, with a view to increasing Average Order Value
- Actively increasing retention rates
- Commitment to continuous improvement by passing on customer feedback and offering ideas on how to improve customer journey.
- Maintaining thorough and accurate records, always adhering to GDPR.
- Being an Ambassador for ProDog Raw, always living and breathing our values.
- To also include any other function or duty that fits reasonably within the role of Customer Service Assistant.
Skills
- Previous experience in a Customer Service role, would be a bonus, but this is not essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong team player mentality.
- Ability to problem solve and take responsibility for resolutions.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral
- Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent telephone manner
- Confidence in sales
