Your purpose:
Provide high-level analytical support to the sustainability teams to assist in the monitoring, measurement, and modelling of environmental and ethical performance of Specsavers and its suppliers. Use analytical techniques to create intelligence products to inform relevant strategic and tactical planning and provide information services that support operational decision making. The role will also partner with project teams and finance to ensure business cases have environmental, social, and financial insights.
Your role
- Develop and maintain an information hub drawing from multiple sources of data to enable the generation of routine information and ad hoc reports that highlight performance and risks in the environmental and ethical performance of the company and its supply chain
- Develop a full product lifecycle analysis from raw materials origin to end consumer, working with Environment SME to capture carbon impact
- Accountable for providing analytical expertise and assistance that aids decision making on a variety of projects and initiatives, evaluating the significance of patterns and trends in the information
- Partner with finance and key stakeholders to develop the business cases for change, using analysis from a wide range of data from a variety of sources
- Create open communication with key stakeholders to inform and update, building trust and respect by creating strong relationships that allow for healthy debate and influential discussion, influencing a culture of data driven decision-making
- Produce information reports to Executive Boards for consistent sharing of data and information
What you’ll bring
- Role-related experience as an analyst and experience of producing analytical reports and products, using a variety of analysis tools, methodologies, and specialist software
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of products (particularly Excel, Power BI and Access), and a good working knowledge of SQL and querying relational databases
- Understands how to identify patterns and trends within complex data sets, with the ability to develop meaningful inferences and conclusions
- Excellent time management skills to be able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and produce accurate work within tight deadlines, taking personal responsibility and use of own initiative to manage workload
- Awareness of role related legislation e.g. environmental and ethical standards, product lifecycle analysis
Happy to talk flexible working! This is a UK or Guernsey remote based position. Travel will be required for this role, across our support offices.
