Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist to join our team. As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.

Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights and solve business problems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track and communicate data-driven insights.

Conduct comprehensive analyses to evaluate business processes, marketing campaigns, customer behavior, and other relevant areas, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

Utilize advanced analytics tools and programming languages (such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS) to manipulate and analyze data efficiently.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, and proactively recommend innovative approaches to enhance data analysis processes.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements, provide ad-hoc analysis, and deliver insightful reports and presentations.

Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the analytics process.

Conduct A/B testing and other statistical experiments to evaluate the impact of different strategies and initiatives.

Develop and maintain documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or a similar role, with a focus on data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization.

Proficiency in using analytical tools and programming languages, such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS, for data manipulation and analysis.

Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, and experience applying them to real-world business problems.

Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js, to create meaningful dashboards and reports.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and working knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and ETL processes.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable analysis within given deadlines.

Experience in industries with data-intensive environments, such as finance, e-commerce, marketing, or healthcare, is highly desirable.

Salary: £21,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
