Since the first branch of General Traffic opened in 1983, our family business has grown to be one of the largest distributors of Vehicle Parts and Tyres in the North and Midlands.

We are recruiting for someone to join our Carlisle branch as an Assistant Manager.

• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a familiarity with computers and a keen eye for detail
• They will assist the Branch Manager with the supervision, management of the branch, the achievement of sales and profit targets and the continued profitable growth of the business
• Lead the sales team, managing over-rides, encouraging and assisting the team to Never Say No and ultimately providing the best customer service possible. Advising or taking responsibility of more difficult or time consuming orders
• Manage the wallboard and the sales team to ensure there are always operators available for an incoming call. Minimising requeued and lost calls, ensuring correct codes are selected by your team and making sure any lost calls are called back immediately
• Assist the Branch Manager and Dispatch Supervisor with the management of the driver team and our vehicles.

44.75 hours a week.

Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm and alternate Saturday mornings

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £28,000.00 per year
