We currently have a vacancy for a Data Analyst to join our Service Delivery team.
It is an exciting time to be joining the Mayoral Combined Authority. We have a wide variety of exciting projects that we are working on which will help shape the West Yorkshire region.
In 2021 the £1.8bn devolution deal was secured for West Yorkshire. This meant the first Mayor of West Yorkshire was subsequently elected, with Tracy Brabin taking up post in May 2021. The devolution deal and election of the Mayor has enabled us to start to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and helping to deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.

The Role
At the Combined Authority we are responsible for making sure the bus timetable information customers view on street, in our bus stations and on wymetro.com is accurate.
Reporting to the Data Controller you will interpret, input and transform the data we receive from the various West Yorkshire Bus Operators using our using our Combined Services and Assets (Cosa) data base software as well as Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping software, this is then used to produce the various customer information outputs mentioned above.
You will have a keen eye for detail and relish the challenge of working to meet tight deadlines.
Please note: Although the majority of the work is desk based you will also be required to assist with the print production of on street timetables which takes place at our print room at Bradford Interchange, the process from start to end is a team effort to meet specific bus service change deadlines – this particular task can be physically demanding.
About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience of database management, track building, public transport information systems or bus operations.
- Technical experience of Information systems (GIS)mapping or equivalent and working with O/S mapping bases or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the geography of West Yorkshire and its public transport network.
