Salary: £40k – £50k

Location: Hybrid / Central London

This brand are now looking to hire a Data Analyst to join the Data Science & Analytics team to delivery reporting and insights around business performing.

Analysing performance metrics and KPI’s such as sales revenue and finance, your job is to enable business decisoning around growth and business performance through actionable and useful insights.

We therefore need someone who can look at the business from a holistic business perspective, taking control of all data they have and to help them to understand the data assets they have, ones they should acquire and to visualize and automate the way data is used internally.

You will work with large forms of unstructured data, so as in many start-up environments, there is a need to cleanse the data, own the integrity of the data in order to produce accurate reports and guidance to senior leaders. You will be skilled in building dashboards and engaging data visaulisaitons as well as being confident in presenting your findings to senior leadership, and working with a variety of stakeholders across the business to understand their needs.

In this brand new role you have the opportunity to really make data YOUR function. We need people who are interested in using numbers to tell stories for a wide variety of stakeholders cross the business.

Technically you will need to employ SQL and Excel for data manipulation and analysis as well as Tableau (or similar) for data visualisation and reporting.

Skills & experience required:

• Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Machine Learning, Computer Science etc.
• Skilled in leveraging range of analytical tools such as SQL and Excel, plus experience in using data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker needed to bring data to life for the business
• Solutions focused approach, with an intellectual curious mindset and ambition to add value through your analytical work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain analytic results and models to a non-technical audience
• Comfortable working in a high growth environment, fast paced activity, ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks at any one time
• Resilient mindset, courage, confidence and ambitious nature required!
• Experience within consulting, start-up or finance preferable but not essential
