Canon Europe have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst Internship position (12 months FTC) to join a growing and ambitious Commercial and Business Intelligence team based in Canon’s EMEA head office in the UK.

This role will suit a current university student, keen to progress with an internship in a data driven and collaborative environment. Your contribution matters as you will support the generation and management of the global reporting cycle for our global B2B customers.

This is a full-time role, working within our offices in Stockley Park 3 days a week, 2 from home.

What we ask

This role will expose you to a variety of tasks including:

  • Provide support for managing and ensuring accurate data is inputted across multiple pricing and data analytics tools.
  • Assist pricing for global inbound deals for Europe according to rules in place.
  • Support the creation of control reports to make sure the information is correct in internal and external data sources.
  • Assist in developing exploratory analysis on new and existing data sources whilst analysing and interpreting trends.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for the pricing and data analytics team to ensure Business as usual continues within the Canon Global Services Team.
  • Support the collection, processing of global sales data from various stakeholders and managing the global customers reporting cycle.
  • Assist in the extraction of data from various reporting sources such as Oracle, Salesforce & internal customised reporting system.
  • Assist with the access for our Customer Reporting System reporting platform.

You will need

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills with a second European language being an advantage.
  • A good level of knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel will be useful as well as the interest to learn about IT systems supporting the business.
  • The exposure to data visualisation tools with a desire to learn (Microsoft PowerBI or similar).
  • An eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to collaborate and work as a team player with both internal and international teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Some experience working with large datasets with the ability to show your data analytics skills. (Desirable).

The successful candidate will also need to currently be studying for a bachelor's degree in a relavant discipline (Data/Maths/Finance/Sciences etc).
