In this role within the Data Centre of Excellence (Data CoE), you’ll be working directly with the FC MI Production Manager. You’ll be working in conjunction with colleagues and teams across the Data CoE, Financial Crime CoE and well as Line 1 and 2 across all business lines.
You’ll be supporting the production of FC MI that will allow Santander UK to reduce risk and increase efficiency by producing accurate data in a timely manner. You’ll be a key member of the team and will be responsible for the centralised automated production of key FC MI.
The difference you’ll make.
- Supporting the design and delivery of BAU and project-based MI development as per business requirements.
- Identifying and supporting the manager in the implementation of continuous improvements across other change programmes to mitigate financial crime risks.
- Working with MI Production and MI Governance teams to implement MI/BI in relation to the review and assessment of alerts as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, systems, and controls.
- Managing design issues and supporting with the resolution data quality issues.
- Converting new business requirements (for metrics) into actionable, automated Data Requirements.
- Completing supporting tasks relating to the design and development of new metrics.
What you’ll bring.
- Proven experience of data extraction, migration, reporting and quality checks.
- Advanced skills in Excel and SQL, where you will have proven experience of writing scripts.
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Previous experience in a Financial Crime Data development role.
- Knowledge of Financial Crime processes and systems.
- Knowledge of Data Lake.
- Ideal, but not essential, knowledge/skills in Business Intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, MicroStrategy).
What else you need to know.
This is a full time permanent position in a team which is currently based in Milton Keynes or Bradford.
It will be a hybrid working role between office and home – time in the office to be agreed with your manager, typically this is 40% of the working week.
