The Role
As part of the company’s continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics Team. When you join Wessex Internet, you can expect to grow in your role as we grow as a company.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll be using advanced analytics to develop business solutions which increase the understanding of our business, including its customers, processes, and products. You’ll be working closely with business stakeholders to define detailed business questions, problems or opportunities which can be supported through analytics, making sure that new and existing processes are designed to be efficient, simple, and automated where possible.
Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering data to support day-to-day decision making and longer-term strategy
- Communicating insights in a compelling way to convey a clear story to stakeholders
- Creating dashboards and visualisations to enable colleagues to self-serve
- Lead efforts to improve data integrity and accuracy within our CRM system
- Maintaining and improving existing data tools and proactively identifying opportunities to develop new solutions
- Providing technical expertise and responding to requests from non-data-oriented colleagues
Requirements
- Previous experience working within the data analytics field
- Ability to build visualisations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Excellent SQL skills
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages e.g., R or Python
- Highly proficient in excel and data management (essential)
- High attention to detail and data quality
- Proven experience of using data for customer insights
- Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to explain complex data to non-technical colleagues
- Pro-active attitude with a problem-solving mindset

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
Role Type: Full Time/Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Office based near Blandford Forum, Dorset
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
