What you'll do
You will be working in the Data Engineering function of the Digital Analytics Team, Vodafone UK. Sitting within the team, the person will be leading the way on how we use our Digital data from the raw format within our data lake, through transformation and ultimately final insights. The person will be key part of our Analytics operational model and will be directly influencing the analysis capabilities of our team.
Key Accountabilities:
Acting as technical subject matter expert on data transformation best practices, keeping up with industry updates and bringing change and innovation in our processes.- Focus on analysing digital data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies.
- Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of last mile data sets.
- Take ownership of the accuracy of the data being visualized.
- Simplify and automate reporting, and other data-driven activities.
- Being part of the end-to-end process of data analysis. From collecting requirements to delivering impact through reports, dashboards, and visualisations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams (inside and outside Digital Analytics), gathering requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and delivering complete solutions.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate findings in a way that is intuitive and meets stakeholder requirements.
- Proactively monitor data quality, raise issues, and thrive to improve our work.
Who you are
Hands-on experience in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries across large sets.- Proficient in using and creating relational database solutions, automation, and data orchestration
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Experience with web analytics solutions (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
- Experience with cloud solutions (AWS or GCP preferred).
- Experience in data visualization platforms (Excel, Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.)
