from purpose built laboratories in Slough and Manchester. Our aim is to enable our
customers to have confidence in their water systems through providing reliable
analytical testing and expertise.
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee the day to day operations of our Manchester lab with the support of our off-site Head of Microbiology. The ideal candidate should have microbiology laboratory experience and be a strong people leader. They will need experience working in a fast paced environment and be confident in dealing with team members and customers.
Responsibilities:
- To manage the microbiology team effectively and have a full understanding of the lab processes
- To plan the team’s day to day activities and support the lab in becoming highly efficient
- To manage and perform the training of the microbiology team
- To assist the scheduling team as and when needed to ensure all samples are registered accurately and in a timely manner
- To handle customer enquiries for all aspects of Alpha testing services to ensure the highest quality customer service.
- To be accountable for customer satisfaction, notably through ensuring good reporting TAT’s and a rapid follow up on customer queries & complaints, with completion of relevant paperwork.
- Apply health and safety and quality standards as required by the Company, statutory legislation and external customer requirements
- Daily management of the Laboratory Information System to ensure reports are sent out on time.
- To generate and approve analytical laboratory reports
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year

Experience:
- ISO 17025 commercial microbiology laboratory: 2 years (required)
