We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Game Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Game Data Analyst Principal, you will be responsible for analyzing large volumes of data generated by our portfolio companies, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to enhance decision-making processes. You will work closely with our investment team, game developers, and stakeholders to drive informed strategies and optimize the performance of our gaming investments.

Conduct comprehensive analysis of game analytics data to identify key performance indicators, player behaviors, and trends to support existing and future investments decision-making.
Develop and guide implementation of data collection methodologies, ensuring accurate and reliable data sources are utilized.
Collaborate with game developers and stakeholders to define metrics and track performance across various games and platforms.
Build statistical models, predictive algorithms, and machine learning models to uncover patterns and provide actionable insights for game performance improvement.
Design and maintain databases, data pipelines, and reporting systems to facilitate efficient data management and analysis.
Generate regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to the investment team and stakeholders.
Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify emerging opportunities and risks in the gaming industry.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and analytical tools to continuously enhance data analysis capabilities.
Mentor and guide our investees, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to align data analysis efforts with overall business objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
Proven experience as a Game Data Analyst or a similar analytical role in the gaming industry, with a deep understanding of game mechanics, player behavior, and game monetization models.
Expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques. Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used for data analysis.
Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and experience creating compelling dashboards and reports.
Experience with data collection, transformation, and storage using modern data technologies (e.g., SQL databases, data lakes, ETL pipelines).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data findings into actionable recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
