About The Role

We now have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Product Data Analyst. At Sunbelt Rentals, the UK's leading equipment rental provider, we have over 20,000 product lines. We are undergoing a major business transformation to restructure, cleanse and enrich our product data ready for our future, enabling the best experience with our investment in state of the art, new IT systems.

As part of our rapid transformation programme, our product data team is expanding as we prepare our product data for future systems and ongoing requirements. We need a Senior product data analysts to work on this exciting transformation, working with our technical experts, operational management and manufacturers to structure and plan future data models and requirements.

As a senior data analyst, you will be confident to run workshops at all levels within the business, working with stakeholders in the UK and North America to ensure that requirements are understood, you will have the confidence to challenge stakeholders to encourage the following of best data practices.


Your key responsibilities will include:
  • You will be involved in creating a culture of good data governance and processes, managing tight control of data changes.
  • Heading up cross functional groups to help with the creation of a new product data structure.
  • Cleanse and standardise our product data to fit the new structure and move existing products into it, removing any duplications.
  • Creating and managing a global list of product attributes and assign them to the correct product lines.
  • Review and update linked consumables items, accessories and kit components.
  • Build good relationships with our supply chain partners, operational and technical experts to enable you to enrich the data quality of our existing product lines.
  • Work with a number of different team across the business to ensure information is captured when new products or services are purchased, create a new parts and spares catalogue and link the parts to the relevant rental products.
  • Working closely with our partners and internal project teams to ensure that any telemetry provided by manufacturers meets our minimum standards and is setup correctly.You will be helping to determine what the future telematic standard will be, data automation is key in our digital strategy.
  • Ensure that local and global data governance is followed to ensure data is suitably locked down during day to day use and kept up to date.
  • Heading up customer feedback groups and reflecting back to the team to come up with better ways to provide an improved customer experience using product data.
  • Weekly reporting to the Product Data Manager and Project Groups using project management tools.
  • Any other duties as requested by Management.
  • Working with our Business Intelligence team to create and manage product data BI reports.

About You

To succeed in the role you will bring :
  • Previous experience of data management and a proven understanding of the importance of clean and well-structured data is essential.
  • Analytical mind set with the ability to understand tasks quickly.
  • Excellent IT skills, experience of using data and project management systems as well as Microsoft 365 products.
  • Further educational qualifications.
  • Experience of presenting to high level audiences and managing workshops.
  • Able to work in a team collaboratively and also individually where required
  • Good planning, prioritising and organising skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A high level of attention to detail - thorough and conscientious
  • Good communication and administration skills, able to accurately document information.
