Purpose of the Position:
The Systems and Data analyst will provide support to the Business Change and Finance Change managers with the implementation of a new ERP system.
Soane has been through an extensive business requirement gathering process as well as a detailed selection process for the most appropriate software solution and implementation partner. This role will support the Business Change team through the project life cycle including blueprinting, system design and build, user acceptance testing, training and go-live.
This role will have an initial focus on data preparation ready for the system migration which requires a high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently. As the project develops, this role will aid with the implementation and change management process for the new system as well as being the key point of contact for issue mitigation and system optimisation across various departments.
The role requires a background in ERP/ system projects and a solid understanding of business processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Review and prepare data from Soane’s legacy systems ready for migration to the new solution, including business partner, product, manufacturing and financial datasets.
· Actively increase and develop knowledge of the chosen software solution and apply this to ensure the smooth transition of Soane processes to the new platform
· Work with key stakeholders in preparing the documentation required that will aid with the transition to the new ERP
· Assist with the preparation of key project phases including User Acceptance Testing and Training
· Provide go-live user support and be the key point of contact across departments to enable the business to adapt to new processes
· Manage system and user issues post go-live, focusing on prioritisation
· Engage with the business to identify, create and implement system improvements in secondary phase development
· Focal point for training new users, and existing users as required on the system
· Collaborate with software partner to ensure glitches and development matters are addressed efficiently
· Provide general assistance to the Change Managers as appropriate to requirements
Qualifications for the Position:
· Background in business systems, minimum 2 years’ experience including demonstrable experience of a full implementation (including system design, system build, testing, training and go-live)
· Advanced O365 skills (primarily Excel, ability to handle mass data and basic formulae such as VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot table functions – this will be tested during the interview process)
· Educated to degree level in a relevant field
· Experience of working in a manufacturing company, and knowledge of manufacturing principles would be an advantage
· Self-motivated, with a willingness to work independently
· Desirable: Experience with Database Management Systems/Power BI/SharePoint (as an admin user).
