Duties and Responsibilities
The Client Manager will join a team of senior technical team members. Collectively, the team interprets data and provides suggestions to water and wastewater operations teams, based on
SENTRY™ data and complimentary data acquired.
A successful candidate for the position of Client Manager:
- Client Managers are responsible for maintaining relationships with clients and collecting relevant information about facilities to bring to the Senior Client Managers for interpretation, analysis, and action. The candidate may be responsible as the lead contact for up to 50 separate clients.
- The Client Manager engages with new clients at the early stages and typically supports client operators to configure and install the SENTRY sensors at their facilities. This work is primarily done remotely. This installation support requires a knowledge of wastewater process and wastewater process control.
- Oversee and apply data analysis techniques to help optimize WWTPs (i.e., aeration or anaerobic digestion feeding) in collaboration with wastewater treatment facilities and consulting engineering firms using SENTRY™ data.
- Must be analytically focused and able to think critically about a revolutionary and advanced monitoring technology in the water sector. Water / wastewater industries can be slow to adopt, so being able to think critically about the pros and cons of existing sensor / sampling and control technologies, with a knowledge of the status quo is preferred. Working with this new SENTRY™ technology requires the ability to understand/learn about microbial kinetics in water / wastewater environments, advanced water / wastewater decision making / process control (for example aeration control), and a knowledge of industrial / municipal / commercial wastewater treatment processes and techniques.
- Will engage with clients, primarily wastewater treatment facilities but may also have drinking water and environmental clients, to understand their problem statements and requirements. Training or experience in one or more of the following areas is required: environmental or civil engineering, wastewater treatment, water treatment, bio- electrochemical systems, or microbiology.
- Will be required to manage large, complex data sets and utilize statistical methods to distill the data. The focus is on presenting the data in consumable formats (graphically) that can be leveraged to help operations personnel understand their biological activity and plant performance. Several analytical tools are used to manipulate and transform the raw data received. The Client Manager will be asked to continuously improve these statistical processes, with new ideas and fine-tuning of this analysis and the application of this analysis.
- Taking real time biological information from SENTRY sensors and running these data sets through advanced filters, models, and algorithms. This can be both conventional and data driven (machine learning) in nature.
- Will prepare and review reports written for clients that provide guidance for the operational performance improvement. These reports are read by wastewater plant operations teams and process optimization teams and require data interpretation, process suggestion as well as financial estimation of the impact of these improvements.
- Can work from home / remote geographic regions (example North America, Europe, or
Southeast Asia) but must have high speed internet capable of video conferencing.Preference will be given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.Experience and Skills Required
