We are currently undertaking a programme of research, including literature reviews, case studies, analytical pieces, and modelling to review our policy area. We are looking to bring in someone who will take a lead in developing some of these key products, conducting their own independent research, drafting papers, utilising data models, and producing analytical products.
The Data Analyst role will involve conducting research in both qualitative and quantitative formats, primarily quantitative. A large-part of the work will be utilising quantitative data modelling to explore the impacts of different policy changes.
Key Skills of the data analyst:
Produce and utilise data models;
use the most appropriate medium to visualise data to tell compelling and actionable stories;
translate and communicate accurate information to technical and non-technical stakeholders;
summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format;
apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation;
examine and explore alternative datasets to determine value and potential use.
Any prior knowledge or understanding of emissions trading and carbon pricing would be beneficial, but not a necessity.
