Plessey is an embedded technologies developer at the forefront of microLED technology for augmented reality (AR) display applications. A new position for a Data Analyst has become available within Operations.
The role will expand our growing continuous improvement team and will focus on manufacturing analytics, capacity modelling, and report automation. The position will also have input into various continuous improvement projects, SPC, Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen activities. The role is working Monday to Friday 0800 – 16:30.

Role Responsibilities
Analysing data streams from manufacturing processes, metrics, dashboards and other areas where applicable.- Creation of report templates for other users to run.
- Interface to the Data Infrastructure teams, internally and with our partners.
- Automation of scheduled data extracts/reporting.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities through data analytics
The successful candidate will be experienced in data analysis/engineering ideally in a Manufacturing environment and will have the following skills:
Experience in data visualisation and report publishing.- Familiarity with datamining techniques.
- Experience of advanced data visualisation and analytics platforms an advantage.
- Experience with PDF Cimetrix/industry 4.0/Smart Factory connectivity & control systems would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (JMP!, Minitab etc).
- Knowledge of quality methodologies like FMEA, SPC, Six-Sigma, Kaizen and 8D reporting will be an advantage.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office 365.
- Able to work independently, result oriented, organised, and self-motivated.
