Hybrid (3 days a week in our London office)
Who we are looking for
The position of data analyst sits within the Analytics team and reports to the Director of Analytics.
Though every day will be different, you can expect to spend time:
- Sourcing, processing, analyzing and interpreting large & complex datasets that feed into our product.
- Developing analytics and forecasting software to grow and enhance Modo's product offering. This will either be coding in python or doing analysis in MS Excel.
- Getting to know our subscribers, building your network, and staying up to date with the latest developments in the clean energy industry.
Job requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- A self-starter attitude, eager to dive headfirst into problems and pick things up quickly.
- A degree in a quantitative field e.g. engineering, maths, physics, chemistry, biology / STEM background.
- Exceptional technical problem-solving and analytical skills. Ideally, you've done some coding and data processing before in Python or R.
- Have previously worked with or have experience using APIs.
- The ability to describe the trends you discover and the models you build clearly and concisely. If you can talk about them too, even better.
- A hunger to make net zero happen.
We'd love it if you also have:
- A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline or several years of experience in a commercial environment.
- Knowledge or previous experience in the GB electricity system, or with software-as-a-service provider.
