What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:- Interpret and apply legislation (FIPPA, PHIPA etc), standards (including OPS Data Integration standards) and privacy policies to support the collection, linking, integration and disclosure of data products to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide project management leadership, data and information management expertise, health analytics, data solution knowledge, to support the Ministry in the advancement of data integration projects within and across the OPS business
- Provide expert advice on data, information management, data solutions and platforms to support the overall data integration practice.
- Prepare and present project, privacy and policy recommendations to senior management
How do I qualify?
Data and Information Management Expertise
- You have extensive quantitative analysis experience in the health field and are skilled in developing and using a range of analytic, statistical, and modelling techniques
- You have experience with a wide range of datasets that include health
- You have demonstrated knowledge and experience with digital health systems, data solutions and privacy analyses
- You have experience conducting privacy impact assessments
- You have knowledge of theories and concepts of information classification and management standards, information security, privacy and access structures, models, and information exchange technologies and processes
Leadership and Project Management Skills
- You have leadership and project management skills to plan and lead multi-disciplinary policy and program research and project teams
- You can effectively complete project deliverables from initial concept through completion
- You can lead project teams by providing technical leadership, conducting consultations, preparing plans, budgets, and resolving issues
Communication Skills
- You can communicate effectively to prepare and present complex analyses and reports for all audiences
- You have written and oral communication skills to prepare and present reports, including briefing notes, business cases, and other correspondence
Client / Stakeholder Management Skills:
- You can create, lead and present briefings on complex issues analysis to senior management
- You have expertise in creating and managing complex stakeholder relationships
- You can work collaboratively to resolve issues, negotiate changes and shifts in priorities
Policy Knowledge
- You understand policy development and approval processes
- You are able to apply strong judgement and political acuity in the management of complex, sensitive and high-profile policy development issues
