The Role
This exciting position will have you at the heart of our subscription data, you will be identifying consumption habits and preferences. You will perform 'deep-dive' data analysis to provide actionable insights that drive subscriber acquisition and retention. The role works hand to hand, day in, day out with colleagues in our Product, Subscriptions, Editorial, and Commercial teams to deliver insights through data, define and provide reporting, and identify risks and opportunities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with data across our suite of digital products, delving into new products and reporting on your findings. This role is a bespoke service role and you will partner with senior-level employees to break down data for growth projects across the group. You will deal with ad-hock requests creating dashboards and metrics for growth, churn data, and much more.
Skills and experience
This role is all about our readers, so experience working in a user-centred environment, particularly with a product or subscription element, would be highly advantageous. You are highly numerate and analytical and you excel at breaking down a problem or task. When working alone, you get on with it, when working with a team, you are proactive, collegiate, and pragmatic.
Equally important are your excellent communication skills and your ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear, evidence-based recommendations.
A few years of solid experience with a major analytics tool such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a given. Other skills that would be extremely advantageous...
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- Background in working with large and complex datasets.
- High proficiency with a BI tool such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, or similar
- An excellent understanding of SQL
- Coding experience in a relevant language such as Python or R
