Commissioning Data Analyst
Full Time / 37 hours per week / Permanent and Fixed Term 12 Months
Play a key role in supporting colleagues to make evidenced based decisions to commission services within the city and ensure these services deliver the standards expected, for the people that receive these services. Working in a small data team, you will provide support to Strategic Commissioning and Contracts and Assurance service on the performance of contracted providers via the analysis of information submitted/ data available, with the aim that a high standard is achieved and the best value for money is being delivered. The role will also link into various other teams within Leicester City Council as well as the wider Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland areas.
Primarily, the post will be hybrid working, Mon-Fri, 9-5, with days in the office to be expected.
There are two posts available, 1 x permanent and 1 x fixed term for 12 months. Secondments are an option however please make your manager aware before applying.
What you’ll be doing
As a Commissioning Data Analyst, you will use your IT skills to support the development, management and control of relevant information and have a proven ability of resolving issues.
You will also provide support throughout the commissioning cycle by applying a methodical and consistent technique to undertake thorough analysis of the data available.
Good presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to write high quality, concise and meaningful reports, and be able to provide interpretation of complex data, when required, to mixed level audiences.
What you’ll need
An enthusiastic individual with a proven track record of providing analytical support within performance management. You’ll be able to demonstrate a systematic, analytical approach to problem solving to provide effective, practical, and creative solutions to resolve any issues. You’ll be well versed in using the Microsoft package (Excel, Word), you will be confident in liaising with people to articulate their needs and explain limitations of any available data. A highly organised individual with the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining flexible in your approach and having knowledge of visualisation software (Power Bi or similar) would be an advantage.
