CCB Remediation and Correction functional area cares for the identification, classification, and correction of customer impacts caused by business process or operational breaks within CCB (Consumer and Community Banking). Within this function, the team focuses on correcting the impacted accounts via recalculating and/or crediting finance charges, fees, and rewards balances; correcting/changing finance charge and fee structures; initiating customer communications, etc.
The Data Validation Lead Analyst will be a key member of a larger team of Business Analysts, Correction Analysts, and Testing Analysts accountable for the correction of customers. The lead analyst will perform end-to-end analysis on code against business requirements and execution plans; while confirming correct usage of data sources, standard code, adherence to guidelines and regulations, and following best practice standards.
Additionally, the lead analyst will assist the Data Validation Manager in development and implementation of the overall validation strategy, developing processes and procedures, and incorporating appropriate tools. The lead analyst will be expected to perform validation on cases resulting from difficult, complex, multi-layered, data intensive business problems.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop/Create code from scratch by reviewing simple business requirements across multiple Lines of Business (Credit Card, Consumer/Business Banking, Merchant Services etc.)
- Work on LOB(Line of Business) executed cases where there is limited documentation; independently work with Project Manager, Business Analyst and LOB partners to gather the documentation and evidences needed
- Work on at least 2 correction cases simultaneously with the ability to assist peers if needed and completing the assigned cases within a short timeline (20 days or less)
- Independently or with limited oversight, prioritize the case work to meet the deadlines
- Write complex queries on various types of data and data sources and run frequencies to validate population and ensuring correct formatting and logic of output files
- Effectively trace and communicate coding defects to stakeholders
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the overall Data Validation strategy for the Correction function
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of code development working experience in SQL/SAS or Master’s degree plus 2 years of code development working experience in SQL/SAS
- Experience working with at least one Chase CCB LOB
- Complex querying skills in SAS, SQL and TERADATA environment
- Ability to work multiple problems simultaneously
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Detailed and quality oriented
- Team player with the ability to work independently
This is a Hybrid position which will require the incumbent to commute/work on site 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week.
