Overview:
The Arcadis IBI Group Transit & Mobility Data team is hiring a Transit Data Analyst to join their team. It is preferred that this position be in Boston MA, Seattle, WA, Washington DC, or Atlanta GA. Remote work from other locations in North America will be considered for a strong candidate.
The Arcadis IBI Group Transit & Mobility Data team works with transit agencies across North America to deliver a wide variety of transit data, technology, and planning projects. While we have proven analytical skills, we distinguish ourselves by also bringing a thorough understanding of transit operations.
Most of the things you'll work on:
- Data-focused transit planning and research projects
- Transit realtime information systems
- Code development, technical memos, and presentations
- Collaboration with transit agency clients, and other design disciplines, offices, and staff
- Proposals and other business development efforts
You'll need to have
- Experience with transportation planning, engineering, or data analysis
- Knowledge of transit operations
- Familiarity with GTFS/GTFS-realtime
- Familiarity with database languages (e.g. TSQL and PSQL)
- Familiarity with data science platforms (e.g. Python)
- Attention to detail and ability to balance priorities and multiple projects
- Interest in developing new skills and excitement for new challenges
It’s a bonus if you also have:
- Experience with managing transportation planning, engineering or data analysis projects
- Familiarity with other sources of transit data (e.g. APC, AVL, AFC)
- Familiarity with systems that create transit data (e.g. CAD/AVL)
