Senior Technology Role

A global, listed company is hiring a mid to senior technology lawyer to influence the business and facilitate expansion in the EMEA region. Their platform helps clients operate more efficiently and innovatively in this digital era and is experiencing continued growth. This is a newly created position focusing on complex commercial, technology and outsourcing matters across a range of industry verticals.

Reporting to the Head of Legal this will be an autonomous role within a lean legal function, yet you will receive full support from the senior lawyers in this collaborative team. It will be a varied role, with the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of commercial, technology, IT, IT services, data privacy, and IP matters, relevant to a global pre-eminent provider of business process services.

The work would include:

• Drafting and negotiating IT/outsourcing contracts and general commercial contracts
• Balancing legal risks with commercial and operational needs of the business
• Advising on data protection and compliance
• Advising on IP issues

You must be a UK qualified lawyer who is ideally 4-8 PQE. To be considered for this position you must have trained at a top-tier law firm and possess in-house experience, ideally within the technology industry or have trained in-house in the relevant industry. This is an autonomous role, as part of a collaborative team. Working at a global business means you will be an integral part of the continued rapid growth of operations, in terms of existing service lines and new growth areas.
