Job Summary
The successful applicant will be working as part of the Data Team within one of our schools. They will be assisting the school’s Data Leader in all related tasks, alongside the Network Manager and Administrator.
Key roles
- Attend ARR weekly meetings to help set schedule of work and reporting on ad hoc jobs and other relevant issues when appropriate, as scheduled within the ‘Data Calendar’.
- Provide the Data Leader with guidance to develop functional expertise to allow Arbor to be used to meet the individual needs of different groups within the school such as Governors, Census, Parents, and subject departments in line with the school’s strategic direction and operational use of data.
- Provide reports with Arbor for the efficient review to Head Teacher, Governors and relevant departments as requested by the Data Leader.
- Extract and set up baseline targets and flight paths at the direction of the senior line manager.
- Support the Data Leader to be able to track and monitor the completion of reports.
- Support the Data Leader to run reports on the agreed schedules and share information with the agreed groups.
- Make changes, as decided with relevant staff, at scheduled times throughout the year as directed by Data Leader
- Assist the Data Leader in providing training material for staff inductions suitable for whole school training.
- Create an efficient recording structure for School Assessments and Reporting.
- Manage and maintain data transfer to systems external to Arbor.
- Run school census and report in accuracies / missing information to data owners.
- Ensure all Data within Arbor is accurate and maintained to a high standard.
- Assist school staff & parents in accessing Arbor and any other parental focused system.
- Provide strategic future planning with developments of Arbor and all other Data Systems used by the school(s) and implement strategic developments with the school(s).
- Use school systems to communicate with parents and students including the distribution of Students Reports and event scheduling.
- Any other duties deemed relevant to the role.
Person specification
The successful applicant will have:
(Required)
- A flexible approach to the job and a desire to ‘make it happen.’
- Education to A-level standard (or equivalent), with a min 5 GCSEs to include Maths, English and ICT.
- Previous experience of Data Analysis and Input.
- Previous experience of using Advanced Excel functionality including large data sets with advanced manipulation and analysis.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google equivalent
- Good Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a Team.

- Knowledge of school curriculum and assessment systems
- Experience using Arbor.

The successful applicant must:
- Undergo an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB) as is a requirement for working in schools.
- Follow health and safety requirements and initiatives as directed.
- Ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained in respect of school and company data and the staff.
- Be presentable. Uniform is provided.

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
