The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading precision engineering company. For an Engineering Estimator/Planning Engineer.

The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications to determine quotes for customers ensuring the most up to date information for materials/parts/supply costs and availability is used. A background in engineering and/or estimating highly sought after but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Review drawings and specifications to determine quotes
• Populating into a format to share with customers
• Produce route cards on the manufacture of quoted parts
• Liaise with customers on all aspects of cost, quality, and delivery

Ideal candidate:

• Engineering Qualifications
• Previous experience working within the Aerospace & Defence industries.
• Proficient in the reading of customer drawings and specifications.
• Previous estimating or quoting experience or an understanding of quoting / planning.
• Good computer skills (including a good working understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel / Word / Outlook)

Working Hours:

• Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:30
• Friday 07:30 - 12:30

Pay rate:

• Up to £18.75ph depending on experience.

• Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
• Canteen
• Overtime Available
• Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
• Training Provided
