Job description

Gfinity Digital Media Group is hiring!

Our Mission: To provide the go-to home for gamers & geeks to read, view, compete, engage & converse in a world of entertainment and gaming.

Gfinity Digital Media (GDM) holds a network of specialised websites averaging 14 million monthly unique active users whilst delivering 70 million impressions per month across its social media channels. Essentially, we are the hub of all things gaming, esports and entertainment.

We are a forward-thinking company that offers a flexible and supportive environment and an inclusive culture. So, if you would like to work with a creative, ambitious team who strives for the best results then look no further.

We understand that some days are busier than others and you have a home life too. All our talented teams work on a fully remote basis, and flexibility is as important to us as it is to you. We make it our priority to create a workplace to be proud of where our employees can shine. If you want to grow and widen your knowledge, we are here to guide and facilitate this.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our talented team. Our primary focus is creating and publishing content across the gaming and entertainment spaces and you will play an integral role in helping us identify key solutions to grow the business and build upon our current success.

Our ideal candidate has experience translating analysis into data insights to help drive critical decisions. You have also had experience finding new data sources, collaborating with developers to create new data streams, and working with business managers to inform decisions. To do this, you have more than likely created new dashboards using spreadsheet tools and cloud-based SaaS solutions. Bonus if you have experience with Python, Java, or similar. You are a curious initiative-taker who loves to rummage under the bonnet to find answers that help drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely across our teams to inform decisions and guide roadmaps using data-backed reasoning.
  • Leverage data to help cross-functional business teams track KPIs.
  • Reform existing data collection and analysis processes using databases and cloud-based visualization tools.
  • You will work with non-technical stakeholders to derive actionable insights and better understand data.
  • Deliver key reports that help us monitor performance and make recommendations on how we can improve.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional data analysis or other relevant experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
  • Experience working with SQL.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Product (GCP), more specifically Google Big Query, Google Cloud Scheduler, Google Cloud Functions
  • Experience with Python, R, Java, and similar
  • Experience with complex data analysis and statistical techniques, such as Linear regression.
  • Experience working in cross-functional technical and non-technical teams with the ability to communicate effectively and present data to our non-technical stakeholders for clarity and understanding.

As our Data Analyst you are:

  • Experienced working with data privacy.
  • Experienced in leading and championing new initiatives and driving impact.
  • Knowledgeable in PII, GDPR, and data security standards
  • Passionate about gaming and entertainment
  • Interested and curious in AI such as Chat GPT.

What you will receive

A salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 along with a benefits package, designed by our people, for our people.

We are an equal opportunities employer who values people as individuals with diverse opinions, cultures, lifestyles and circumstances. We mirror this in our workplace, which is inclusive and free of discrimination. We are committed to equality and fairness of opportunity and ensure our recruitment process is free of bias.

We look forward to hearing from you.
