You will have a focus as the primary technical architect for an integration project, designing and building integrations between over sixty distributed systems to a new system designed by EPA. Preferred candidates will possess a deep technical expertise in database design, data integration with Informatica and AWS cloud technologies, reporting, and analytics. Having a background with consulting experience utilizing an agile delivery methodology is also a key differentiator.
HOW A SENIOR DATA ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Create both logical and physical data models
- Tune databases for maximum performance
- Work with Business Analysts to create functional specifications and data integrations
- Manage QA functions
- Develop unit, system, and integration test plans and manage execution
- Transform logical business requirements into appropriate schemas and models
- Analyze and evaluate moderate to highly complex information systems by being able to interpret such devices as Entity Relation Diagrams, data dictionaries, record layouts, and logic flow diagrams
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Experience:
- 3 years’ experience with AWS ETL processing
- 3 years’ experience utilizing data warehousing methodologies and processes
Required Technical Skills:
- Possesses deep technical expertise in database design, data integration with Informatica and AWS cloud technologies, reporting, and analytics
- Experience designing and consuming REST webservice APIs
- Experience utilizing an agile delivery methodology
- Experience in Data Preparation: Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, and Data Auditing
- Knowledge and experience of dimensional modeling
- Strong knowledge of AWS
- Experience developing large data technologies, algorithms, and applications
- Proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages
- Full SDLC and Data Modeling experience
Security Clearance Level:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Agency Specific)
- Must be a US Citizen
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to write technical and end-user system documentation
- Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team across the US
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
