Join Our Team as a Digital - IT Support Manager!
At the University of Reading, we're on a mission to provide exceptional IT support experience to our university community. Our Digital Technology Services (DTS) department is at the heart of this mission, ensuring smooth digital operations across campus. Now, we're looking for a dynamic Digital - IT Support Manager to lead our customer-facing IT support teams delivering 1st (Service Desk) and 2nd Line IT Support.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our customer-centric IT support function. You'll lead and motivate our teams, promoting a culture of outstanding customer service. As a manager, you'll oversee the Service Desk and User Support teams, setting objectives and fostering professional development.
Operational excellence is key. You'll manage staff schedules, ensuring we have the right people in place during peak times like Welcome Week and Clearing. Collaborating with our Business Relationship Managers, you'll navigate competing customer demands effectively. Your role will also involve monitoring and improving service performance through KPIs, alongside our Head of Service Delivery, keeping our IT support top-notch.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone with leadership experience in IT support, who's educated to degree level (or equivalent) and holds an ITIL Foundation certification. You should be skilled in communication, problem-solving, and team management. Commitment to ongoing professional development is essential.
