Job description

As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for someone who loves working with data to join our growing team. Reporting to the Management Controller, this Data Analyst role collects data and creates reports to ensure operating department needs are met, and assists with various projects, including tracking strategic initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Data Analysis:

• Handle management requests to extract, manipulate, and organize data
• Analyze large data sets to identify the performance of key metrics related to strategic initiatives
• Investigate performance issues and/or confirm improvement through collaboration with various departments and/or units
• Examine data from multiple sources to provide detailed analysis, advice, insight, and interpretation

Reporting:

• Compile analytical reports and identify relevant insights over time by comparing unit performance
• Design and develop dashboards, reports, and metrics to assist different departments in measuring and monitoring success on a weekly and or monthly basis
• Prepare reports for management, providing an in-depth trend analysis based on historical data, current performance, and other key indicators
• Develop and distribute reports, analysis, or visualizations
• Provide accurate and relevant data to ad hoc information requests

Inventory:

• Conduct adjustments in the ERP system and assist in investigations of inventory discrepancies
• Perform backup inventory traceability tasks

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• A minimum of 2 years of solid experience analyzing data/cost accounting experience or education
• Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of reporting and spreadsheet applications, including V-lookups, pivot tables, queries, crystal reports, power BI, database
• Experienced in ERP projects
• Capable of critical thinking and analysis
• Detail-oriented and meticulous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
