Reporting into the Head of Business Intelligence, you will be experienced in data analysis, using a variety of tools, with key strengths in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
You will work as part of a team of analysts, building new and intuitive reports and dashboards, maintaining our existing reporting suite, and helping the business stakeholders to understand and utilise our data in better ways. You will also be a key part of a wider data strategy that will allow Evolution to improve its overall data capability.
You will be innovative, with a high attention to detail and a willingness to stay current in today’s fast-paced data landscape.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create reports, data extracts and dashboards for various business stakeholders.
- Work with end-users to guide them in using various Business Intelligence tools and help them navigate the data.
- Gather requirements and develop full reporting solutions to address key business needs.
- Provide data analysis expertise to aid data-driven decision making within the business.
Essential Criteria:
- A-Level Mathematics or equivalent level.
- Two years experience working in a similar role.
- Experience in using Power BI or some other similar data analysis and visualisation tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
- A good grasp of SQL for building queries to extract data from tables in databases.
- Experience with using Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Data Science or Machine Learning certification or qualification (or demonstrable experience in this area).
- Understanding of Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Understanding of, or experience in Data Engineering.
- Experience with using programming languages for data analysis (e.g. Python or R).
- Previous experience of working in financial services or credit.
- Comfortable presenting complex data or concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- There may be a requirement for the occasional visit to our Head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
