We're looking for Data Analysts for E.ON Next

We are looking for a savvy Data Analyst to join our growing data team. The hire will be responsible for providing up-to-date, accurate, and relevant data analysis to support business decisions. The ideal person for this role must be well organised and respond quickly to requests for data. Team skills and communication skills are essential and it is important to be able to cooperate with different departments.

The right candidate will be excited by creating insights and resolving complex problems in collaboration with our main stakeholders. You are a team player, passionate for the brand and its success. You have the ability to work in a high-energy, high-intensity, and rapidly evolving environment. You understand the nuances of life in a start-up and are happy to roll up your sleeves: no job is too big, or too small. A taste of what you’ll be doing:
  • Performing analysis to derive meaning from data
  • Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports
  • Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
  • Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
  • Defining new data collection and analysis processes
  • Work closely with data experts to strive for greater usage of our data platform.

Do you have the following experience in:
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge.
  • Some experience of Python / R / Julia / similar
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Tableau (or QlikView / PowerBI)
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports with the right data visualisations
  • Experience in data models and reporting packages
  • Experience with Git, or similar, using branches and pull requests for collaborative development
  • Worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve a goal
  • Experienced with understanding stakeholder requirements and managing their expectations
  • Experience in the energy sector would be an advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail

  • We’ll have regular team socials and a corporate Deliveroo account for when the need arises
  • £40k to £50k negotiable, dependant on experience
  • Location - Nottingham, London, Bolton or leicester office with travel to our other sites when required.
  • Working environment: Flexible hybrid working – a blend of in the office for 2-3 days a week and at home the remainder.
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays each year – this includes a guaranteed day of for your birthday off if you want it.
