Job description
The Analyst, Strategy and Data Analytics will be heavily involved in creating analysis driven business intelligence solutions. This role will also work closely across revenue cycle and finance business functions to investigate data and analysis; and then work with physicians, in the field, to review productivity reports. Extensive travel to office sites to meet with internal stakeholders will be required. The successful candidate will create data solutions and thrive in turning complex data sets into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
Essential responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
- Learn and extensively study the collection of productivity reports in the Strategy and Data Analytics and Financial Accounting team systems.
- Practice intensely on excel including but not limited to courses assigned by the DSBD that will include VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Pagination, Conditional Formatting (color coding by values), Cross Tab etc.
- Learn Tableau reporting system
- Benchmark performance/data from similar clinical practice sites for future comparison and analysis on productivity
- Analyze departmental functions and recommend measures to improve fiscal performance
- Develop presentations for the business analytics department, as well as for physician recruitment and development, as needed
- Meet with physicians in conjunction with the DSBD and other analysts, as needed.
- Train, learn and understand the functions of physician productivity and dashboards, and be prepared to interface with clinicians on the meaning and actionable data.
- Recommend opportunities for optimized data reporting and analysis.
- Perform/manage other projects and tasks as assigned by DSBD
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with specialization in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- Business analysis experience strongly preferred
- Health care industry experience preferred
