Introduction
Our client is an exciting and growing UK technology company focusing on research, development and delivery of technical solutions for the MOD!
Our client are experiencing rapid growth and is now seeking a motivated and talented Data Analyst to support the delivery and monitoring of services to government customers.
This role requires an understanding of secure networks and systems and the ability to gather various sources of information, from separate information security domains to identify patterns and trends of information and behaviour.
This exciting opportunity is for someone who can effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex systems and is passionate about technology and enjoy discovering innovative ways to solve problems, investigate incidents and support the wider information security needs.
You will be expected to spend 3 days per week on site, the rest of the work can be done from home.
You will also be expected to obtain a DV clearance – due to security restraints you must have a British passport only.
Key responsibilities
- Analysing data using statistical techniques to produce internal and external reports
- Create customer reports e.g., most used, least used, out of date devices, call and message data per group, user, overall, etc.
- Identifying trends and patterns in complex data to support business analytics processes
- Provide information for Capacity Management & Utilisation reports
- Assisting with data collection to debug system health issues
- Supporting with the collection of Incident start times, durations, devices impacted
- Acquiring and compiling data from difference sources and maintaining data systems
- Working with the business to prioritise business and information needs
Skills & experience
- Strong analytical and quality acceptance experience
- Proven ability to determine business requirements
- Practical experience of working across multiple projects covering both software and infrastructure implementation
- Ability to analyse large, complex datasets from diverse sources, structures, and formats
- Practical experience of Splunk, Nagios and or other monitoring reporting tools
- Experience of developing of dashboards using PowerBI or eazyBI
- Proficient use of Excel using pivot tables, ifs, formulas, lookups, etc.
