About the Job


We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Data Analyst to join our team, working primarily with our go-to-market teams to help unlock insights that will impact the business and our popular cloud-based booking and e-commerce application. You’ll get to learn and gain hands-on experience in a team-based, agile-friendly work environment with our unique industry and customers.

Please note the preferred location for this role is Victoria, BC, but we are open to hiring remotely within British Columbia.

Our team sits at the intersection of delivering customer value that meets our business’s needs and driving initiatives that will impact all facets of the customer journey, from acquisition to activation and retention. Reporting to the Sr Director, Strategic Initiatives & Insights, as a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize our go-to-market strategies and drive business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to gather requirements, identify data-driven opportunities, and measure the effectiveness of our go-to-market initiatives.


Some tasks you’ll be taking on


  • Develop a deep understanding of our business by performing an in-depth analysis of go-to-market data, including sales data, marketing campaigns, customer behaviour, and market trends. Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business growth and enhance go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to understand business objectives and develop data-driven strategies. Provide insights and recommendations on market segmentation, target audience, pricing, promotions, and product positioning to optimize go-to-market initiatives.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to go-to-market efforts. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor and communicate performance metrics to stakeholders. Identify areas of improvement and opportunities for optimization.
  • Analyze sales pipelines, conversion rates, and customer acquisition trends. Evaluate marketing campaigns' effectiveness, including lead generation, conversion, and ROI analysis. Provide insights on campaign targeting, messaging, and channel optimization.
  • Analyze customer behaviour, usage patterns, and satisfaction data to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and improve customer retention strategies. Collaborate with customer success teams to understand customer feedback and develop data-driven approaches to enhance the customer journey.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency. Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to establish and maintain data governance best practices. Perform data validation, cleaning, and quality assurance to ensure reliable and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including go-to-market teams, data engineering, and IT, to gather requirements, define metrics, and ensure data accessibility. Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


Ideally, you should have


  • Bachelors' or above in CS, Engineering, Physics, Math, Statistics, Business, Economics or similar field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on go-to-market analysis; Experience in a SaaS or technology-driven company is highly desirable
  • Proficient in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques; Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with working with Google Analytics, Hubspot, Pendo, or other similar tools (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of go-to-market strategies, sales processes, and marketing principles; Ability to translate business objectives into data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to clearly and effectively present complex data and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills; Ability to approach complex business challenges, break them down into manageable components, and derive actionable insights from data
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and #GSD attitude. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Curiosity to explore new data sources, techniques, and technologies to enhance analysis and reporting capabilities
