We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Data Analyst to join the Infrastructure Performance team within Metering Infrastructure and play a critical part in maximising the benefit of our smart estate for both our customers and business.
The Senior Infrastructure Data Analyst will be responsible for provisioning and maintaining the smart data that underpins activities across Metering Infrastructure, ensuring that robust data is at the heart of what we do. They will be an expert in data handling, with experience across multiple platforms and tools and have the capability to distil complex issues into meaningful messages and recommendations.
The role:
Support development of wider team in understanding data use and tooling options
Provide cover for Infrastructure Performance Manager
Lead for Infrastructure Performance in Centrica data forums
Develop and maintain large, complex, curated data sets that enable effective infrastructure performance management.
Ensure consistent availability of timely, robust, reproducible, accurate smart data to support downstream processes.
Maximise efficiency and automation of data provisioning across the team, assessing available tools and platforms against requirements
Generate innovative, data lead solutions to improve infrastructure performance management
Utilise multiple tools to develop reporting and data sets
Identify trends and behaviours across the estate, providing guidance on resolution options where possible
Build automated tools to execute corrective processes across large volumes of devices
Explore opportunities for continuous improvement across the team
Share knowledge across the team to create a centre of excellence in relation to data-based decision making and activities
Engage with cross business stakeholders to champion the benefit of smart meters, particularly smart data
The person:
Proven ability in the management of large, diverse data sets, derived from multiple sources
Proficiency in SQL, Azure Databricks desired
Highly experienced in the use of a range of data manipulation tools across multiple platforms
Strong analytical skills, including ability to turn data into meaningful insight
Good presentation and communication skills
Ability to share knowledge and upskill others
Location: You can work in Leeds/Leicester/Windsor/home; we have people working all over the UK but also a range of office locations. Occasional travel required to any of these locations
