Job Title: Data Lead
Location: Wembley (Hybrid, 2 days in the office per week)
A prestigious sporting organisation located in Wembley are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Lead to join their team. As the Data Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of data specialists, including governance experts, data product developers, SQL developers, and Power BI developers. This role requires collaborating with the Head of Strategy, Insights, and Data and working closely with business stakeholders and the Data and Technology team to develop and implement cutting-edge data solutions. Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of the company's data strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Lead the team in developing and deploying data products and services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop innovative solutions to meet those needs
- Implement and drive change initiatives across the organisation to facilitate the data journey
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data through effective data governance practices
- Work with the Data and Technology team to build and maintain data pipelines and stores
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and implement data-driven models
- Interpret and communicate the results of data analysis to business users
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data technologies and trends to drive innovation
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team
- Promote data literacy and upskilling across the organisation
Required Skillset:
- Possess at least 5 years of management experience in a data-related role, demonstrating a strong understanding of data, its processes, and products (e.g., Power BI dashboards, SQL, and data governance)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in leading and implementing change initiatives across an organisation
- Proficiency in data warehousing and data visualisation tools
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of data professionals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Remuneration: The role will be paying up to £90,000 (based on experience)
