BUILDING MATERIALS WHOLESALE LTD
Full Time Woodford Green, England 27000 - 29000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Building Materials Wholesale Ltd is growing rapidly and is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in our Woodford Green office. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is passionate about transforming data into meaningful insights and contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for our business. Your work will directly impact our strategic planning, operational efficiency, and overall business performance. This is a hybrid work mode, full-time position with a competitive salary starting at £27.000 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect data from various sources such as the company's e-commerce platforms, customer interactions, social media, and website analytics tools to track and understand customer behaviours, sales performance, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Ensure the data is accurate and consistent, processing it for analysis. This could involve removing any inaccuracies, duplications, or inconsistencies in the data sets.
  • Analyse sales data, website traffic, and customer behaviour to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. This might include identifying which products are performing well or poorly, understanding customer buying patterns, and analysing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Analyse website data to understand user engagement, site performance, and conversion rates. Use these insights to suggest improvements to the website's design, user experience, or functionality.
  • Translate complex data into clear visual formats such as charts and graphs, and prepare reports that detail their findings. These reports might cover topics like sales trends, customer behaviour, website performance, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Use historical data to create predictive models that forecast future sales trends, product demand, and customer behaviour. This can help inform business strategies and prepare for future demand.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to measure the performance of marketing campaigns, understand customer segmentation, and optimise marketing strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to analyse supplier performance, lead times, and product quality data to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Use data analysis to address specific business challenges, answer key questions, and support decision-making processes across the company. This could include identifying ways to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, or optimise your e-commerce platforms.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a business or e-commerce setting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.

What You'll Get:

  • Competitive salary starting at £27,000 per annum.
  • An opportunity to be part of a growing company in the building materials industry.
  • Hybrid work mode.
  • Work in a modern office environment, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • 28 paid holidays, including Bank Holidays, and a paid birthday day off.
  • Instant access to monthly wages.
  • Professional development opportunities.
