Location: Birmingham, B1
Salary: £25,000-26,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 09:00-17:30 Monday-Friday including an unpaid 30 minute break. There is the opportunity to work flexibly and hours can be changed and amended to suit the successful candidate. 40 hours total per week.

What you will be doing
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate data analyst to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing data analysis and insights, with the goal of helping the company make better business decisions.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics etc), along with an understanding of data analysis techniques. You should be comfortable working with large datasets and have a good understanding of SQL and other programming languages.

What we hope to achieve through recruiting the data analyst:
- An increased understanding of customer behaviour, preferences, patterns etc.
- Improved targeting of marketing campaigns, resulting in higher conversion rate, higher sales and improved ROI.
- Identification of opportunities for improvement across all areas of the business, based on data insights, analysis and trends.
- Answering key questions that will in turn help the business work more effectively and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Collecting, cleansing, organising, and validating data from multiple sources.
- Using statistical and machine learning techniques, as well as data mining, to analyse the data and identify patterns in customer behaviour.
- Developing segmentation models to group customers with similar behaviour.
- Analysing the performance of marketing campaigns and identify which campaigns are most effective in driving sales.
- Identifying trends and developing insights.
- Presenting reports, both visually and in writing, for the board and senior management.
- Working with our CFO to collate the relevant information to help him do his financial analysis.
Required skillset
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics etc.
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as SQL, Python or similar.
- Proven track record of data analysis and report writing skills.
- Excellent research and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Education and experience
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, economics, or statistics.
- At least one year of experience in a data analysis role (ideal but not required).
Work experience
We are looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Business Intelligence Analyst
- Analyst Programmer
- Data Engineer
- Insights Analyst
